Thanks for the link, very interesting article. Perhaps who he picks as Chief of Staff will be someone who will be able to focus an administration. Tim Pawlenty comes to mind, and would be great in that role.

Your comments about strengthening the base and trying to nab some Hillary votes are exactly right. He didn't have a good way of doing both before he picked her, and none of the other contenders for VP would have given him a shot at both. He's traded in the experience card in the hopes of moving himself forward by other means.

Michael:  Jesse is no longer with us.  He passed on the 4th of July of this year.

Oh, I know.  Hence the past tense.  I picked him as an example because of the huge uproar over whatshisname suggesting he would have been a good president.  (Which he wouldn't have been).

Jodi, you're a good gal at heart.

Having said that, I wouldn't make too much of it. After all, probably the most accomplished attorney to occupy the Oval Office in recent memory was good ol' Richard Nixon!

He was a clever lawyer.  Who was also an exceedingly effective president (in addition to being a lying sack of poop)!

~Blush~

Not really, nothing makes me blush anymore growing up with all guys and living with a house full of guys, kind of takes the girlie out of me.

And with that thought, most of those woman that supported Hillary will not support Palin.

Why should I let the facts get in the way of a good joke?

This is a political thread....facts have no place here anyway.

Jodi, while I admire what you are trying to accomplish with the plea to set aside the personal attacks...

Please stop...I am enjoying the fish slapping competition.
