"Ironically?  I got 13 McCain."

So what was your reaction to that, Mike? Are we talking "The Crying Game" here or "Saul of Tarsus" ?

ha ha... no, seriously, I didn't take the test, I was just being cute.

But, here's a promise.  I will vote for McCain if he removes Palin from the ticket.

I don't agree with any of McCain's policies, and I think Barack Obama is the greatest politician of my lifetime (sit down, Mario Cuomo!  Back to the corner Ann Richards!)  - but more than anything, it is vital and important that America be made to understand - We must demand more of our leaders.  Palin is not fit for national office.  This is embarrasing.

"All of them"? What, she thinks there are only about 3 or 4 papers, so she can just name "all of them"? I'm thinking stage-fright here, because even a moron could name the local paper and the Washington Times and then say, "I browse through a few others, but being a governor takes a lot of my time so I have others who monitor the media more closely and bring me the important stuff."

Badly prepped or stage fright, I think. Either way, not a good thing.

Not a good thing is an understatement.  Her running a bake sale is not a good thing.

Her running for the office of Vice-President of the United States of America?  Appalling.  Utterly appalling.

It's funny now to imagine her sitting in the remains of the oval office bleating out "it's got electrolytes!" over and over, but this isn't a game, it's the running of a nation.

Appalling.

My prediction is that Palin will silence the growing Republican unrest about her nomination with a "strong" performance at the debate on Thursday.  She will be charming and charismatic and will deliver her pre-planned soundbites effectively.  She doesn't have to directly answer the questions given because the moderator isn't allowed to ask follow up questions or point out that she didn't answer the question, like Gibson or Couric could.  So she can dodge anything she doesn't know the answer to and not get called on it.  Meanwhile Biden will turn people off with his demeanor.  Mark my words, by Friday morning it will be Palin-mania all over again, and people will be talking about her "comeback."

It's so depressing.  A President Palin really would be George Bush's third term.  She's not a pitbull with lipstick, she's Dubya with lipstick.  It saddens me that people can't see this.

Can you imagine if ALL job interviews were like this?

Maddening.

I'm skeptical about the Bush microphone allegation.  It was the first 2004 debate where he had that "bulge" right?  And that was the debate where he did by far the worst of the three, where Kerry soundly thrashed him on just about every level.  So if he was getting help it was totally ineffective.

Anderson Cooper on Palin : "She couldn't actually name any newspaper or magazine that she read. Is that a problem?

The same way she watched SNL by turning the sound down, she probably read the magazines by not looking at the words.
