it's just the constant bleating, in that sickening shrill voice,
**********
That made me laugh, Mike. I was beginning to think I was the only one who felt that way.
I was at work so I missed the debate. Glad to see Biden didn't put his foot in his mouth. Palin did well, but with expectations as low as they were, my 4 year old would have also. But man, is she not ready to lead. Being president isn't a high school math test. Cramming to pass doesn't cut it with me.
I'm now convinced more than ever that Obama is the right choice for me.

Biden's plastic surgery was very distracting last night. The center of his forehead would not wrinkle but the sides would. I found myself laughing at Palin thinking what Tina Fey would do on SNL.
I think they need to bring Chevy Chase on SNL to do Biden to Fey's Palin. Great opportunity to hear, "Sarah, you ignorant slut."
I was surprised to hear Obama/Biden opposed to gay marriage.

I hope in ten years we're embarrassed at where we stand on gay rights today.

Worth it for the embedded video alone:

If Sarah Palin had done that interview in front of a live audience, I think she'd have gotten at least as many laughs as Tina Fey. I don't think she's getting enough credit for her comedic genius.

She accepted the nomination -- the debate goes along with that. She's not at the debate to spout McCain's positions; she's there to tell us her own.
You have the same issue with Biden then?

I'm watching the news now and they have already found at least 10 things Biden claimed as facts are really false.
I heard that too watching the commentary after the debate. I'm definitely interested in seeing the full fact checking on both sides.

When both sides have to stretch the truth to its limits in order to make their point, I tune out. I'm sitting this election out, as I don't see New York State possibly going to anyone but Obama anyway. Thanks, electoral college! Besides, the only person on the ticket that's actually had executive experience has only been at it less than 2 years. I don't like voting for Senators. So, I'm pretty much screwed.

Did the Obama camp try to modify the debate format so Biden couldn't present his own ideas? If not your question is meaningless. You really don't want to know where the person who would be next in line for president stands on the issues? Or do you just not care?

I didn't care for Biden's response regarding his view on judicial qualifications. I don't think the constitution calls for the senate to ask such questions. By the same token I didn't care for Governor Palin's response regarding the role of the vice presidency as defined by the constitution. Neither provided the right answer, to my mind, on gay marriage.
I don't thik Ifill did that good a job. There were many follow up questions of both candidates that should have been asked. I'll say it again -- I miss Tim Russert.
Edited to add: The whole time I was watching the debate I kept seeing Tina Fey in my minds eye!
