just because Obama can organize some community events

Scott he didn't organize community events, he organized his community. You make it sound like he organized a local bake sale. He made better his community by job training and other programs. Big difference.

Question for you Scott, you say you are a democrat  I would assume you like the democratic platform, what issues does Barack go against, that make you so upset that you would go to McCain/Palin ticket?

I certainly can't do that if all they do is "talk up their boss's".

Well Matt, this is exactly what Biden did. But, again, I feel that is what his job was last night. I actually like Biden more than  I like Obama.

Of the four, I feel that if I sat down and had dinner with any of them separately, I'd be talked at by Obama, talked to by any of the other three. I can't see Obama as anything but an actor, he's just playing a roll, repeating his lines (quite well I concede) and hitting his marks. I'd rather see a little roughness around the edges, and the semblance of someone actually thinking about their reply, you know, as if it might actually be what they believe.

No, Biden also talked about himself, where he stood on issues, and how that blended (or not) with Obama.  He didn't just parrot Obama.

Biden pretty much showed during the debate that if anyone is worried about the possibility of the VP having to take over for whoever gets elected at some point, that they should vote for Obama and Biden. Palin showed that she should be nowhere near the Presidency, and I don't see how anyone in their right mind could think she won the debate. Some polls show that she came off as more likeable, and I can see that, but Biden beat her on just about everything else.

Incidentally, I loved what Biden said about Cheney and the VP job.

I'm leaning toward voting for Obama even though I think McCain would be less likely to get us into it with Iran and I really don't trust either to fix the economy, but I can't take the risk of Palin ending up President, and I like Biden. (I was hoping for Biden to win the nomination and wish it was a Biden-Obama ticket)

Only when directly pushed by the moderator.

BTW, no one has hinted at my other question. Does anyone have any complaints ablout the moderator? I was all set to be critical and point out favoritism, but I really didn't take notice of any.

Michael:

I thought Ifill was terrible.  Her questions were fine but she neither pushed for answers or asked good follow up questions.

I can agree with that. It seemed that some of the answers could have generated better follow up questions than what was asked. More as if she already had her follow ups and wasn't listening to the responses, or maybe didn't want to stray from her notes.
