Tell you what, Tom -- I learned this even more from just visiting the JBF and discovering the huge target that's been slapped on JB!

Obama didn't earn his place on the ticket.  The media gave it to him.

----------------------------

You might want to pass that on to all the people that voted for him.

If the media hadn't given him the kid glove treatment they wouldn't have.  If the Rev. Wright stuff had come out even 30 days earlier Clinton would be heading the ticket.  They played hardball with everyone else and lobbed softballs underhand to Obama.

What executive experience does Palin? Governor of Alaska. That's more experience than Obama? He served in the Illinois Senate from 1997 to 2004 and the U.S. Senate since then. He has 11 years in political office. He's on the Senate committees for foreign relations, environmental and public works and veteran affairs. He serves on the health, education, labor and pensions and homeland security and governmental affairs committees. He's also chairman of the subcommittee for European affairs. As a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Obama has made official trips to Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia and Africa.

Did you forget to complete the list?  I see where you listed Palin's executive experience but I'm still looking for the executive experience listed for Obama.

How much executive experience did John Kennedy have? Or George H.W. Bush? Requiring previous executive experience disqualifies almost every American from holding executive office. Saying "some" experience is preferable to "no" experience would depend largely upon what a person had accomplished with that "some" experience, wouldn't it?

Or am I misunderstanding something?

Yeah, that media did a great job of suppressing that Wright stuff for their boy Obama.

It's listed next to McCain's executive experience.

Clearly we should vote McCain-Palin and then jump out in front of McCain a lot going "booga-booga" so the only qualified candidate can assume her god-given position.

Wayde, Obama's would be the worst presidency ever.  So clearly every characteristic he possesses (experience, blood type, cut/uncut) are the exact characteristics that make one unfit to serve.

Yeah, I got that too, Kevin, but I was trying to be kind. That's why I chose a Democrat and a Republican for my examples of past presidents with no prior executive branch experience who went on to hold executive office (president and vice-president respectively).

I've noticed that Hillary supporters seem to be able to abandon their party without a second glance and embrace the other side with nothing more than a "Obama bad" explanation. To be clear, I am not saying this applies to Scott, which is why I asked if I was missing something.

I think a lot of noses are going to get cut in this spite-fest. It's too bad, really.

Eyes on the prize: no matter who wins, Bush is out.

You actually think that makes her more qualified. Or even qualified. You must be high. List all the attributes you think make her qualified then. I listed why I think Obama is, now you do the same.

Or maybe they just realized, like the majority of intelligent Americans, that the whole Wright issue was actually a non issue.

An interesting group of people included in the list of those who have become president without prior executive branch experience. Link.

This list excludes those (like Nixon and Bush the Elder) who became vice president without prior executive level experience, so the list is still somewhat incomplete.
