I'm hoping someone with a little more knowledge on the subject than me can answer this.

If a person who works for Fannie or Freddie gives money to a canadidate, how is that considered a contribution from the company itself?

If a group of them get together and form a PAC, how is that a contribution from the company itself?

If a group of my coworkers get together and contribute money to a candidate does that then make that money a contribution from the company we work for?

My understanding is federal law forbids contributions from businesses but not from individuals. Am I mistaken on this? So if all the employees give to a certain candidate that's all it is, individuals giving to a candidate. How does this put any candidate in "a company's pocket"?

But Scott, did you read that??? That is about facts, not only about Republicans or Democrats.

Yes, I read it.  As I said, it's an opinion piece that uses some facts and ignores others.  You can paint any picture you want by doing that.

loans for poor (codeword = black)

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

And as everyone knows there are no poor white people.

Thanks for saying that because it was getting to me.  I think automatically saying poor = black is being racist.

Who thinks the Republican party and John McCain will shift from DEREGULATION to STRENGHT the regulatory environment?

I do.  With what's happened, no matter who gets in the White House, they will have to put some regulations in place.

Now, that racism is on the discussion, why call a black person "African American" and a white person "American"? should not be "European American" more precise? How about " Asian American" or "Native American".

I never refer to a black person as African-American.  I refer to them as black.  To me, you are either an American or you aren't.  Putting labels out there is part of what causes discrimination.  So I don't use African-American, Asian-American, European-American or any other such term.

Morning Kevin.  Let me spoon feed you.  Go back and look.  I previously said exactly why and you seem to have ignored it.

He is angry and militant and has the ability to rally followers.  That makes him dangerous.  Think you will remember that or can I expect you to ask again in the future?

FINALLY -- the kid gloves come off (and according to AOL headlines, the "heels go on").  I'm glad this presidential race can finally degenerate into mud-slinging!  Heaven forbid it be about substansive issues and the needs of a weary nation.

Finally, the down and dirty!  Ayers! Keating!  The gang's all here!  Woohoo!  Can all this fun fit in four short weeks?
