Twist and turn.
********
OK, whatever. Your argument get's old. Especially when you still haven't provided any proof of my ducking, twisting and avoiding. I'm still willing to answer any question you may have. Maybe you can answer some of the ones asked of you now.
It seems that you are the one who only gives one side the benefit of the doubt.

The fact is the ties to the Alaska Independence are a lot stronger for the Palin's than the ties to Ayres are for Obama. I think it's safe to say Obama was never a member of the Weathermen.
Her husband was a member of the AIP. I find his statement that he never attended any meetings as flimsy as Clinton's that he didn't inhale. Why join if you didn't agree with the aims of the group? Do you know a lot of people who join organizations that they don't agree with?

Jim, Ayres was a terrorist.

Agreed. But unlike what some are arguing on this thread, it doesn't make Obama one.

The only reason he got away with it is the prosecution messed up and used an illegal wire tap. It was dismissed on a technicality.
The government not following constitutional law is not a technicality. Just chiming in. Get back to the ridiculous assocations folks!

Civilians, Michael!
Edited to add:
Except . . . . here's the thing. When we dismiss constitutional protections as "technicalities" we weaken the strength of the document and its purpose: to protect us from government. To protect individual liberty. We may not always like the result of these protections but to describe them as technicalities minimizes them. And when that happens we look at the Constitution as something to be "gotten around" rather than something to be followed. And that is a big big difference!

QUOTE:
Neither Clinton nor Dubya can be president again.
Correct. They've both served 2 full terms so couldn't be President again, well, short of changing the law. |

I liked Clinton's proposed amendment to the two term limits: No president shall be elected to more than two consecutive terms. So after two terms, they have to sit one out, but they can come back and run again. That makes more sense to me than what we have.
I bet there would've been a lot of people who'd liked to have seen Clinton run again in '04, or Carter at some point. I'm not one of those people (!!), but I still think it's a good idea on Clinton's part.

That sounds like a Clinton idea. I do not support that at all. Two terms as president is quite enough. After Bush-Clinton-Bush the idea of a "legacy presidency" is not my cup of tea!

Man, there are some unbelievably stupid people out there.
I've got to stop reading this thread. It's bad for my view of Americans, and
humanity overall.
