My wife tried nadir once -- said it really burned.
waxing ain't much better. LOL
Michael do you realize you are fighting over a word that Sarah Palin wouldn't even know what it meant. LOL in fact I expect she would answer the way Geoff did.
Would this be what the person that used nadir meant, perhaps?:
"This current moment in time, in the span of my life, with the endless Iraq war, financial crisis, hostile nations building nukes and America's image tarnished at it's lowest point, we are at the nadir ."
