Is anyone surprised that the Democrats haven't unearthed this McCain quote and pounded the airwaves with it?

They did.  There were quite a few TV commercials built around it.

Marcio, I pointed out something about a hundred pages back (at least it feels like that long ago) that I think speaks to your point. John McCain is on record as saying he doesn't really understand the economy, that it's not really his area of expertise. Now I don't know that Obama understands economics any better than McCain does, but there is definitely a soundbite out there with McCain admitting he's not great on economics issues, and to the best of my knowledge there isn't an equivalent Obama soundbite out there.

Is anyone surprised that the Democrats haven't unearthed this McCain quote and pounded the airwaves with it?

I'm conservative when it comes to the economy, national security and foreign policy and liberal for social issues.

As am I and, I would wager, a good number of Americans as well.  Pity there's no party that represents us.

To follow up on my previous post, I'm not voting for Obama.  Luckily, I have the luxury to not have to.  If I lived in a battleground state, I would hold my nose and vote for him out of necessity.  Since I live in a state that is comfortably in Obama's pocket, my vote is a waste no matter how I look at it.  I'll be voting 3rd Party -- I get to spare myself the distaste of voting for a candidate I think is a terrible choice, plus I get to flip the symbolic bird to the two-party system which sucks ass.  I'm actually quite excited for election day.

Jodi what's with the creepy squirell! It is scary indeed! Thanks for your kind words, and I am happy to hear that you had a Brazilian student there (hope she/he behaved well) my country is so unknown abroad that I feel that we live behind the iron curtain.

Wayde, the kind of economics we are talking about, any president knows and none will, it is very technical, and that is not for politicians, now, the difference (in my opinion) is who is the economic advisor. THAT is key. That is why I believe (or put my hopes) more in the party than in the candidate.

Watch this awesome link: http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2008/10/11/161149/03/790/6 27718

Some guy brings a monkey doll to a McPalin rally, complete with an Obama sticker - and then chickens out when he realizes the camera is on him.

Stay classy Palin supporters!!

Miller, be fair - that power abuser, is, in fact, a crazy bitch.  Obama is not, in fact, a monkey.

Christopher, do you really think that's the same? One has a supporter comparing a black man to a monkey, the other has a supporter comparing a crazy bitch to a crazy bitch.

World's apart.
