And just who exactly do you consider the rightful owners?

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

The people of Iraq who are now able to vote for their government. Not Saddam Hussein and the Ba'th party.

++++

That is an extreme example of the arrogance and stupidity of some US citizens.

Anyone in Iraq asked for an invasion, against international law, under false pretenses (weapons of mass destruction) or help to get ride of Saddam or whatever.

Christopher said that the rightful owners of Iraq is the people of Iraq, but ONLY the ones wiling to clean the shoes of United States, being their pets and agree with the INVASION AND OCCUPATION of their country, all others who DO NOT agree with the INVASION of their country are called insurgents, terrorists or enemies of Iraq.

For me GWB is no different than Hitler, Stalin or any other war criminal, and his supporters should think about the women and children being killed in Iraq "by mistake". That makes me furious.

And just to finish, Saddam was a terrible person, but there are dictators in North Korea (with Nukes), Venezuela (buying BILLIONS in weapons from Russia) and a big list in Africa.

Shame on the Iraq war supporters, you will all rot in hell for the crimes being committed there.

Please.  The article is "supported" by absolutely no objective evidence whatsoever, just idle speculation based on the article's writer opinion that the books are stylistically similar.  And the premise of the article is thoroughly implausible.  And it appears on a website that has a well-known political agenda.  One need not be a black and white thinker (as you contend) to dismiss the likelihood of its assertions.

On the other hand, maybe Ayers is Obama, and he's going to pull his mask off at the inaugural and say "in your face, America!"

BTW, the SNL sketch you mentioned was not pulled from the net for any political/ideological reasons (ie, because it "blamed the Democrats"), but because NBC's lawyers were concerned about the caption "people who should be shot" which originally appeared under Herbert and Marion Sandler (played by Darrell Hammond and Casey Wilson).  The offending caption was removed and now the sketch is available again online.

 QUOTE:
The people you call insurgents may have lived there their entire lives and have just as much right to fight against what they perceive as an invading force as you or I would if the same thing happened here.

EXACTLY right.  I've said many times that any American who owns a gun or other weapon would become an instant insurgent if we were occupied.  Bush likes to call them terrorists, though.  Insurgent does not equal terrorist!

There hasn't been discussion of Congressional races.

Most observers believe the Democrats will gain in the House and Senate. But, it's unclear to what degree. Will the gains be moderate? Or, will it be a wave?

Also, it appears that the state that made Jessie "The Body" Ventura a governor might make comedian Al Franken a U.S. Senator.

Jodi, I'm sure that wasn't his point. Nor do I think that he was trying to
suggest the black residents of Harlem are any stupider than the drunken
redneck woman on the ATV we watched a while back, nor all those white
Ohioans that Andrew linked for us earlier.

I honestly think he was just trying to say that everyone is capable of being
uneducated and uninformed about the real facts and issues, and that
everyone is capable of choosing a candidate based on skin colour.

Edited to correct spelling in one word.

Al you are a good guy. You didn't change my opinion, but you are a good guy for trying.

Also, it appears that the state that made Jessie "The Body" Ventura a governor might make comedian Al Franken a U.S. Senator.

Then it would appear that the citizens of Minnesota think he is good enough, smart enough and gosh darn it they like him.

Nothing wrong with that.  As someone who hails from Minnesota and still has a ton of family and friends living there, let me tell you that they loved Ventura as Governor.  That's cool.  Ah-nold is currently in his second term here in California.  Numerous actors including Clint Eastwood, Sonny Bono, and Fred Grady have held public office.  Hell, we all know Ronald Reagan was an actor before becoming Governor of California and President.  Being an actor doesn't exclude you from the political scene.  In fact, I'd think it would help quite a bit!

I am not an US citizen, so I apologize if this was already discussed or I am mistaken, but this guy, Ventura, I believe I saw him debating about the "September 11th was an inside job" conspiracy theory.
All that sounded weird, but the fall of the 3rd tower always intrigued me...
Have anyone have seen that? there are several videos on you tube, in one of them a guy (who died few months after shotting the video) known by his friendship with one member of the Rockfeller family, said that it was all staged to reduce the liberty of american citizens and give an impulse to the WAR industry.

I saw Ventura saying he was supportive of more investigation on that, because he was too intrigued about the way the 3rd tower fell.

Ventura isn't the brightest bulb on the tree, but I voted for him because I loathed the candidates from the other two parties!

And hopefully no one ever counts Farrakhan as being in their camp... that schmoe is looking out only for himself.
