For the last eight years we have been a nation divided and I was hopeful that no matter what, if McCain got in, we would be OK and if Obama got in, we would be OK. But then McCain picked Palin and the same divisive demonizing of those who don't believe the way the far right believes started.

****

As an outsider, I was okay with McCain till he picked her. I'm sorry guys but the thought of that woman becoming President of the United States makes me want to leave the planet and its not because she's a woman, its because her politics just plain scares the !@£$ out of me.

McCain and Palin were abe to get Hank Williams, Jr. to open for them in Virginia Beach a few days ago...

For a real hoot, check the lyrics to the song he did.....

The McCain campaign isn't the only one with bad songs.

"They're not gonna blink. And they don't have radical friends to whom their careers are linked"

Haha! 'To whom?' That's not a country lyric! Also McClain can't stop blinking.

"And they don't have radical friends to whom their careers are linked"

When are they gonna let this go?

McCain own actions betray him.  First, he brought it up at the debate.  Obama answered.  If McCain wasn't satisfied with the answer, he should have pressed then and there on national television ... he would've turned the election around in moments.  If McCain had something, he should have played it.

And the Ayers thing has been out there for months.  McCain showed how important he thought it was by not mentioning it until now.

*******

Name one song the Obama campaign has with lyrics that insipid. Even if you agree with the lyrics, it's just a bad song.

I understand why Geoff identifies with the republicans on some issues

Sadly, I am starting not to understand why -- the remnants of
Republicanism found in the party that I find appealing have been
overwhelmed by the social conservatives who do not share the same values I
do. The party is not the one I joined in 1991. George W. Bush wasn't just a
poor president -- he was a poor republican. And despite my hopes John
McCain has not brought the party back. When the Northeast and
intellectuals are mocked by the party of William F. Buckley and William
Safire -- the party has changed.
