Let's kill a bear cub to use as a political statement. Assholes.

Let's say he's less than 85.

Any presidential candidates been shot - not necessarily killed, but even just
shot - in the last 85 years? I'm curious.

In regards to the quote from the shot bear article that Craig posted:

Draping the bullet-holed head of the shot bear with Obama signs isn't
clear enough that whatever kind of statement that's being made is at the
very least political? Good grief.

Edited because I had not initially realized Craig was quoting from
the article.

Right - I should have thought of Kennedy.

Off to find out more about Wallace.

Thanks, Christopher.

" Would that be something that happened in Joe's lifetime for him to be able
to remember? "

That's what I meant. I'm 36, btw.

"We cannot speculate on the motives of the people involved nor who those people might be."

The message of voter intimidation is crystal clear. And quite frankly, the "real Americans" who did it would be astonished to find out you couldn't make sense of it.

It is amazing to me the racist (or at least hateful) messages showing up day after day.  Equally amazing is that it seems to be bolstering Obama anyway.  My wife, who is right-leaning unlike me, says she is worried about how the country would react to an elected Obama (like, "we're" not ready yet).  I think electing Obama is PRECISELY what we need to continue moving beyond shit like this.

Greg -- I completely agree!  "We" ARE ready!
