Bear hunting is sometimes allowed here in New Jersey, is it in North Carolina?

Apparently, bear hunting is legal here in NC (which I didn't know), during the hunting season.
However, with any form of hunting, there are strict rules. I know that it's generally against the law to shoot cubs of any species - hunters are supposed to limit themselves to adult animals.
I'm surprised to learn that bear hunting is legal here because North Carolina doesn't have many bears. They are limited to the mountains in the far western part of the state and, even there, they aren't commonplace. I've only seen one wild bear in my life and that was a cub which had gotten stuck in a tree near Black Mountain, N.C.

QUOTE:
| Although I understand the passion, Jodi, I can't get behind the notion of not wanting a certain candidate to get into office because of the kinds of supporters they have. There are awful, terrible, rotten people of all strips supporting all candidates no matter what party they come from. Bush has them. Clinton had them. Reagan, Carter, and Nixon too. It's whether or not the candidate validates any of a number of kooks and wackos that normally have no affiliation with the candidate past their desire to see them win. I can't hold a public figure accountable for the kind of people that are attracted to them for any of a number of different reasons. |

The rational part of my brain is in 100% agreement, Matt.
The less rational part, however, understands those who feel that the type of person a candidate attracts speaks of that candidate to a degree. I mean...since I'm not 100% sold on him (but am 1000% sold against McCain/Palin), there's a few Obama supporters who make me wish there was another (realistically viable) alternative.
It's not logical...but it's true.

I'm pretty sure shooting cubs is illegal.

After choking yet again in the playoffs, I'm guessing this will not be the case
in Chicago soon enough.

That would be mercy killing.

Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke has
endorsed Sen. Obama's economic plan.
Sen. McCain has got to just be gnashing his teeth in rage.
