Just $10 More?  Talk about taking advantage of your followers.

Everytime I see Palin I feel like donating more, so much so, that I got the magnet and T-shirt, because every dollar is against the hate they are preaching. I like to call it my "un-American" duty to put my money where my mouth is. LOL

Here she is, handcuffed and being taken away by the Police.

I have nothing but respect for those police officers.  Great Americans.

Ashley Tood: Evil Bigot

Hats off to Malkin for calling this BS up front. (er, and for that alone!)  Likewise, to FOX News Executive Vice President John Moody for saying "If the incident turns out to be a hoax, Senator McCain’s quest for the presidency is over, forever linked to race-baiting" in the link I provided upthread.  (shame, however, on him for suggesting that, if her story is true, that "we don't know enough about Obama".  Moron.)

However, Drudge, Hannity, Savage and everyone else who got excited over this lynch-mob mentality?  They got some explaining to do.

From the sometimes conservative-leaning Time magazine:

Why Barack Obama Is Winning

"You misunderstood my comment. "

So it seems. I thought you were referencing the "free job training" that they would get while "working for welfare", which is something I'm very sceptical of, having seen it abused in my own country (and having read and watched reports of it being abused in yours and others).

Of course having access to voluntary and quality controlled job training courses are a plus.

Everyone knows Hulk Hogan is the only Real American. His theme song even says so.

I have no problem with people working for their welfare check. But I don't want to see people treated like shit for it. I'm sorry, but expecting someone to move piles of rock from one place and back again is just wrong. That isn't accomplishing anything. At the end of the day what have they learned? How to move rocks? That's a pretty useful skill.

And this argument fails to take into account that not all people are smart enough to get college degrees. That doesn't mean they aren't hard working. We've all met people in our lives who just didn't have what it takes do do any kind of skilled labor. They shouldn't have to go hungry for it. They shouldn't have to work 2 or 3 jobs to pay bills and raise children. Even providing free child care is a form of "welfare" according to some people. As long as my tax dollars are going to pay for something, it might as well be food stamps so the can be home with their kids. Even poor people can be good parents.

Maybe they ran into some hard luck. Maybe their spouse left them and they had nowhere else to turn. I don't know. But I do know I don't want people going hungry or sleeping on the street in what is supposed to be the greatest country on this planet.

Are there people who abuse the system? Absolutely. But let's be honest anyone can abuse the system. It gets done all the time. By the rich and the poor. Close the loopholes. Fix the problem. But DO NOT make good honest hard working people who are down on their luck suffer for the sins of others. That most definitely is not the American way.

I wish some people could come along with me on housing inspections and see what some people are doing with their welfare money.  Is there a way to report abuses?

You missed the point Jodi.  He has more money now than he could possibly spend before the election, more than any candidate in the history of the country, and he asks for more.

Scott, since I am not living in US, I have no idea what is going to happen with the money donated to Obama after the election day, what happens with the leftovers (if we can ever call MONEY a leftover)?
