This Obama-Ayers "connection" means ZILCH to me and that is GREAT news for Obama... because, I was (I say "was" because I voted already... absentee) one of those Democrats that Obama HAD to work to get into his column. I was not a Hillary supporter; during the primaries I couldn't stand EITHER of them. I wrote in Al Gore's name on my primary ballot.
And worse for Obama, AFTER the primary was over, I began to regret my lack of support for HILLARY!
However, when push came to shove and it was time to vote, Obama's performance during the debates, his self-discipline in not being goaded into reactionary responses to things the McCain camp was saying about him, and the Palin pick... helped me "pull the lever" for Barack. Something I was uncertain I would do right up until I was actually filling out my ballot. I come from California and Obama is going to win here by MILLIONS of votes. That I "pulled the lever" for him is even more suprising, because, I could easily have voted a "write-in" for Gore or Hillary and not ever risked Obama losing CA's electoral votes. But, in the end it was nothing less than John McCain who made me say... let's help Barack win and McCain lose by BIGGER numbers than anyone thought.
Along with the Hillary voters, I was an undecided-Democrat that broke for Obama. Many, many, many more like me today, than there was a few months ago. That is BAD news for McCain.

If Obama is guilty by association with a terrorist, then McCain IS a terrorist. It's very likely he killed innocent civilians in his two-dozen bombing runs over North Vietnam. Over a million people were killed or injured from the U.S. air campaign over North Vietnam from '65 to '68. It didn't hinder the Communists from resupplying the Vietcong. The entire purpose of that air war was to induce terror in the North Vietnamese population.

I said it about 50 pages ago, and I'll say it again now. Obama wasn't associating with a known terrorist, he was associating with a known community organizer. Ayers wasn't helping him build bombs, he was helping him build the community.
I also asked a question regarding Reverend Wright's congregation, but I'll expand it to include Ayer's classroom. If you were to make a list of everyone who has been exposed to this person and their viewpoints, what EXACTLY should you do with that list? Should every person on it be barred from public office? Should they have to apologize for their "association" with people whom others find objectionable? What exactly should be done with that list of hundreds or thousands of names? Whatever your answer, that is what should be done with Obama. No more, no less. Remember though, that you might find your own name on somebody's list down the road because they don't like your associates or your friends or your family.
Didn't McCarthy teach you guys ANYTHING?
