Bruce are you saying the UN voted to invade Iraq?
**********
No, I'm saying they - along with everyone else - believed that Iraq was building a weapons program in violation of the terms of the agreement that ended the Gulf War. If the U.S. had faulty information, so did the rest of the world. And the reason that information was faulty was because Iraq repeatedly refused to cooperate with UN weapons inspectors.
That's why it's inaccurate to say the war began on false pretenses. Perhaps the Bush Administration has been less than honest in its handling of the war, but there clearly was legitimate provocation from Saddam Hussein.

Eisenhower in 1961 saw a problem with our country having an industrial military complex and yet most in our government see this as no problem at all, which is sad.

So Bruce are we the pick and choose government? The UN was against the invasion but the US did not listen.

This was a joke right, we went against our major allies.
The reason Iraq did not want everyone to know they did not have WMD's is because their neighbor Iran would have loved to learn that.

The US only unilaterally decided to invade against the wishes of the UN to enforce the UN sanctions after declaring the UN was irrelevant.

Me too! Specially from Arbys! But my point is, Bush administration and great part of the media deceived US citizens to support a false war, Totally against international law and against United Nations.
Now, I rather believe that are more citizens in US like Jodi, that understands that killing Iraq children "by mistake" and creating a humanitary desaster, far worse then Iraq under Saddam to it's people, is a crime against mankind than believe that US is a nation of arrogant people who do not care about the lives of innocent people being killed and are concerned only about their own belly.
