"I said to my wife, after watching Palin’s debate with Senator Biden, that I could only think of one question that woman might not duck—one she actually might answer, even with enthusiasm. Here’s the question. I have never field-dressed a moose, but—in my deer-hunting days—I have field-dressed deer, and I would have liked to ask the perky Alaskan if the process is more or less the same. (Only a lot bigger!) I could easily imagine Gov. Palin’s eyes brightening; an onslaught of pre-orgasmic winking might have ensued. “Ya know,” she might have begun, “ya just gotta make a big slit from the critter’s brisket to its crotch, and ya gotta reach way the heck up and grab hold of the rectum. Ya can’t let the feces fall out and get all over the meat, ya know. But there’s really nothin’ to it. It’s just a moose—it’s not a Russian, or somethin’!” I think that pretty much covers what the governor might say in answer to that question, except that she probably wouldn’t use the feces word—if ya know what I mean," - novelist John Irving.

I was under the impression that wire taps were deemed illegal, and he was released on a technicality? Can anyone confirm or deny that?

If so, the process failed, and he got to walk. Like it or not, that's the system. Hopefully it will convict guilty people and noto innocent people. The price for that is some guilty people will beat the system. My disbelief is the difference between beating the rap and teaching at a highly touted university.

Jumping topics, Kay Hagan is getting royally screwed with that Dole ad. ( Thats against party for me guys, get your camera's out). I can't stand ads like that. Also looks like Al Frankens gonna get dragged into court on his ad, and perhaps rightly so.

You know, I have always agreed with this, and I looked at picture three, she's got Owen Wilson's nose! To be fair, he looks better than she does.

If I had Scott's e-mail I would send that to him, he ehehe.

Marcio, if it were real, I'd kiss you with tongue!

Trick or treating just ended here.  Had 38 kids show up (well, some were questionable about being kids since they had real facial hair).  Each got a Reeses and 3 comics.  Now to get ready for the Halloween party.  Gay bars always have the best Halloween parties!

I've been in and out on the boards of late but let me add to something Al
said before. Jodi's a good person, who I like a lot. Not trying to change
minds or be a peace maker -- just saying my piece.

Damn you Talley!  Now I have Diet Coke burning the insides of my sinuses!

So, how about Obama booting newspaper reporters off the plane (only reporters from papers that have come out for McCain) in order to make room for someone from Glamour Magazine and other magazines?

Doonesbury predicts Obama win. Papers debate whether or not to run the thing. It's meant to run
the day after the election.

Hellloooo Jeff it's Glamour Magazine, I need to know "what to wear or not to wear"  (monthly section in the mag)  when maybe being the leader of the free world. LOL

That seems silly he did that.

Talley the Elway thing was too funny LOL

Sorry to be off topic, Jodi, what to you mean there is only 10 minutes left in when they can go out?  Is there a local rule?

Yeah we do, it's really dumb they get to trick or treat from 5-7pm which stinks because a lot of people work in Indy so there are a ton of people not home at 5. Here the kids are really great too, I LOVE this holiday, but we live on a road that doesn't have a thru street and lots of trees and very few houses, so people tend to skip our street.

I can't believe there is a website about Sarah Jessica Parker looking like a horse.

Geoff thank you sir, I feel the same about you!

Tom I enjoyed the Irving quote

I wonder how many girls dressed up like Palin tonight?

edited to add:Doonesbury predicts Obama win. Papers debate whether or not to run the thing. It's meant to run
the day after the election.

I wish they wouldn't do stuff like this, reminds me of the "Dewey Beats Truman" headline.

Girls?! I lay odds it's an even split between girls and boys.
