How soon before some cynics try to claim the timing was deliberate to help
generate a sympathy vote tomorrow?

Sadly, I wasn't kidding. But I do feel bad about the misuse of the word cynic.
I know some cynics who are fine, fine people.

The jackass who suggests this (and I'm predicting it's out there in the
blogosphere already) will be a disgrace to cynics everywhere.

Boy I hope they don't make her death political.

Obama's Grandmother died today, very sad indeed.

Thankfully he was able to take a little time to visit her.  I'm sure he would never have forgiven himself if he hadn't.  It's always hard to lose someone close.

I have to admit I'm a bit dismayed that anyone here even suggested that someone would say it was deliberate.  That's just sad.

Dying is a fact of our existence, but very difficult to accept.

I am glad that he was able to visit her, and I hope that his dedication to this campaign is rewarded by the American people with the appointment of him as their new comander in chief.

Yes Scott, I believe that it would be an all time low, but I can expect anything from Sarah Palin, not McCain, he seems to be a very decent man, but that woman....

Marcio, Scott is saying that he's dismayed that I would suggest it will
happen, not that it will or how it might. It's me he's dismayed with - not
anyone from any campaign or anywhere else.

Oh, now I think I got it, so, if Sarah Palin say that it's ok, it just cannot be you Al.

But that's not fair, is it?

:)

No, that's not what he was saying.

Simply that he is dismayed and sad that I suggested it will happen.

Can we just use Portuguese for a change?

Sorry Al, I am just kidding.
