No, that's not what he was saying.

Simply that he is dismayed and sad that I suggested it will happen.

Thanks Al.

I was trying to think how to word it so he would understand.

The jackass who suggests this (and I'm predicting it's out there in the
blogosphere already) will be a disgrace to cynics everywhere.

l hate to say it, but you just suggested it? Pbbbt!

I do hope it isn't put forth.

To be clear, Michael, I did not and would not ever say a thing so callous and
empty and cynically cruel. Only that I expect someone else will.

Al, if her death had occured even a few days ago, I believe there would have been some twisted bastard who would have tried to "spin" it in time to effect the election. I don't think your cynicism is working overtime just because you expect the worst from some of the opportunists out there who would try to politicize this private loss. I think the campaigns would show more class than that, but that wouldn't stop someone who is not affiliated with the campaign from suggesting such a thing on their personal blog, as you suggest.

It's too bad she didn't live long enough to see the results of the election, whatever those results might be.

Anyone who would say that Al would say something so callous, is just all shades of wrong. I completely got that after the "palling around" crap he wouldn't be shocked if someone said something.

Yes, because a domestic terrorist and a grandmother are such similar things that the mind would automatically go that direction.  Uh huh.  To even attempt to compare the two in any way is beyond callous.

I'm beginning to appreciate why JB often responds by simply saying sigh.

Sigh.

Back to the political arena, I wonder what impact Obama's coal comments that hit the news today will have on Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia tomorrow.

Scott, let's see what some Republicans, not necessarily under McCain's campaing said, shall we?

1 - A new anti-Obama group runs a bunk-filled ad implying he'd give a driver's license to Mohammed Atta.

2 -
A misleading NRA ad claims Obama voted "to deny citizens the right of self-protection."

3 -
A McCain-Palin TV ad accuses Obama of being "disrespectful" of Palin, but it distorts quotes to make the case.

And there is a lot more from the place those came from, and, to your pleasure, not all are false allegations of Republicans against Obama, there are plenty of false allegations of the Democrats against McCain.

Marcio, what are you talking about?  What does that have to do with anything we've been talking about?  I really think you are having a very hard understanding what we've been talking about today.
