God-Damnit Geoff!  I have to stand my ground - I will NOT STAND for this sort of Douchebaggery!

IT TASTES GREAT!

How can I vote for a candidate that has such unAmerican supporters,  we all know that only true Americans believe it is because it's less filling. In fact I heard that Obama was palling around with someone that actually liked tea instead of coffee. And as you know Osama Bin Laden likes tea and hates coffee.

In Canada, you walk into the school gym or church basement, look for your name on a list, cross it off, walk over to the cardboard booth, make your selection, take your ballot back to the ballot box, drop it in, and walk out. Between 2-5 minutes. They are counted as soon as the polls close, which does not take all that long, maybe an hour. There are voting locations everywhere during an election. No fuss, no hanging chads, no reason to have electronic machines. Why do they make it so difficult in the US? It can't be just to prevent people from voting.

Tolbert lived in Harlem and had built a sparkling resume in his many years in New York politics, but the Obama campaign meant more to him than any other job, said Basil Smikle, a political consultant and longtime friend of Tolbert.

Oh my god Jeff, guess what my maiden name is.....Yep it's Tolbert. One of my people have died........ :0(

Now that was today's first laugh-out-loud moment from the JBF, Brian.
Squeaked it in under the wire though, didn't you?

Tomorrow I expect to feel cheered up by 10 in the morning.

The greatest man in Canada? We can only hope.

On a side note, I once saw an interview with Cherry, at his home. His persona is an act. During the interview, he lost the accent and talked much more literary than his usual comments. Reminded me of Smiley Burnette, who put on the country hick act on screen and went to operas in tuxedos in New York when not working.

Hey, maybe Palin is putting on an act as well? Perhaps she reads Proust in her spare time and has a degree in 18th century French Literature from Vassar?

Brian... what you just said...?

In a thread of 469 pages - where the art of douchebaggery is taken to new levels of douchebaggeryism with the most ball-shriveling amounts of feigned outrage - where douchebaggery is taken from the ri-god-damned-diculous to the mother fucking sublime...

Your post was the biggest act of douchebaggery yet.

Well played, sir, well played.

Marcel - you raise a great number of points about the American political election system, and the general numb acceptance of political corruption that seems rampant in it.

Doesn't Japan have instances where their legislators physically attack the others in a maddened frenzy? Why doesn't the USA have that? That would drive a lot of us to watch the government access channels more often!
