I am now fully cafinated.

Starbucks is giving away free drip coffee to anyone who says they voted.

I stopped in at 7 Starbucks this morning. I'm not even typing, but just holding my fingers over the keyboard and trying to control how I shake.

Wow Andrew!  Only been two blocks from home today?  Just keep on going and hit the other 200 Starbucks in Seattle!  I should hit up Starbucks myself, we have three here in Anacortes.  Is it only coffee or can I trade up to a frappucinno?

You probably wasted more in gas getting your free coffee than it would have cost for three venti cups, Andrew!

My cell phone message log illustrates how quick and smooth a process today was around here:

11:35am:  Sent a text message to my daughter: "Short line.  Nice."

11:51am:  Sent text message to a friend:  "Got my sticker.  Lunch?"

yeah, I'm working from home these days...

and I think it's just for a tall drip, but you might be able to sweet talk the person behind the counter.

This is a pretty funny response to the "black panthers" story:

Election day should be a national holiday
+++

Interesting, elections here are always on holidays or weekends. Only people who works at public services like police and hospitals have to go to work.
It is great to know the diferences, our countries are the two biggest democracies in America, she should know more about each other.

While I certainly feel my vote in an election is worth waiting all day if needs be, I have arthritis and the physical demands of waiting in line are daunting.  I can bring a book and/or my mp3 player to pass the time, but I could never stand for that long.

Fortunately my state has early voting, which I will be sure to avail myself of in the future.  And I was offered a chair as I waited to vote but I didn't need it (less than ten minutes spent, which was no problem for my poor knees).
