I read about one more recent artist* who did something almost similar. He’d draw a bunch of random splash pages, shuffle them into a “story”, then add the pages in between. One inker commented at the time that the guy had come up with a way to publish a monthly portfolio. *not inviting guesses

What would the color price in 1991 have been? I see OMAC came in at $3.95, and Generations (for comparison) was $4.95 in 1999.
Side note: this little sidebar got me to dig out my copies, and MAN but the art is cool.
EDITED TO ADD: I also note that despite not having been bagged or boarded or any care given to them - I'm not that kind of collector! - the paper is still a nice, bright white after thirty-five years. Whoever selected the stock did a very, very good job.

I would love all of JB's Charlton work to be in one collection as well as his Rog 2000 and all other pre-Marvel ephemera.

Seven...
I really want a collection of everything Next Men to be re-issued. I lost most of my copies and completely missed the IDW series.
EDIT: Added a missing space in Mento

Couldn’t agree more, Edward!
Along with OMAC, I’d preorder this today: The Complete Works of John Byrne at Charlton
Now, the “pre-Marvel ephemera” would be quite the task! At least a great start would be an exhaustive checklist, with full listings of JB contributions to The Comic Reader, CPL, The Monster Times, The Fans of Central Jersey, Chronicle, Epoch, etc.

****
I agree 100% - that's a great idea. The only Rog 2000 material I have is the collection with the wonderful wrap around cover art made for the trade, but the pages in my copy are out of order!
Related to the Charlton idea, I was also thinking it would be great to see a DOOMSDAY+1 collected with the DOOMSDAY.1. I would really like to see more chapters of the latter series as it was so wonderful.
And I would also love a "remastered" STAR TREK: NEW VISIONS with the printing issues of the original run ironed out. I have all the original issues but not the IDW trades that came out at the time, so I am not sure if they made adjustements for them.

A JBNM Omnibus would be spectacular, as well.

Not sure if this is the proper thread, but I just picked up the Pretty Girl Portfolio that I never knew existed. It contains a JB Black Queen print that is also used for the cover.
I'd love to see a project that collected everything that John has done or at least catalogued it,
