Telepathy would need those "eyelids," but also some kind of "zap" to shut people up.••• You scare me, man!

I'm going to go with matter transmutation - vintage Firestorm level, not juiced Molecule Man. Since a lot of stress in my life stems from the hustle, being able to alchemically generate an additional source of income would be a real balm.

Transmutation is a good one. I think I'd go with teleportation with safeguards and some kind of carrying capacity. Even if it was just what I could carry on my back, we could get a moon base going pretty quick!

Cypher's powers would be cool in our world, though maybe 20 or 30 years ago. The ability to speak to more people in our current world is maybe as useful as it was in the comics!

My go-to would be teleportation, but as with the power of flight, that has more implications as you delve deeper into that - having to factor in the rotation and position of the earth along with the risk of partially teleporting inside of an object.
Time travel has the same implication as above. Even accounting for the above, I think about someone travelling too far in the past and dying instantly from the toxic atmosphere relative to our current one.

I would much rather have regeneration, provided it includes slower aging ala Wolverine, than flight.
Time travel, provided its not Marvel `create a new alternate reality rather than make changes to your own timeline' type time travel, would be interesting.

As most of you know, time travel is one of my favorite motifs. As a result I have dedicated a lot of mental energy to the concept. This means I ignore a lot of the physical problems, especially all the different motions that would need to be compensated for. The Earth’s rotation (900 mph), its orbiting the Sun (19 mps), the Sun’s movement (40,000 mph) and, of course, the expansion of the universe.

I’d go for some form of super adaptability so that whatever ability, knowledge or skill I needed for a particular situation would instantly manifest itself.

Time travel is appealing but way too much responsibility. I’m smart enough to know I’m NOT smart enough to consider all of the ramifications.

Isn’t thought already faster than light speed?

A human brain isn’t very large. Those electrical impulses that zip around creating our thoughts don’t have far to travel and are really quite “slow”.I have seen it estimated that the speed of light is about 20,000,000 times faster than the speed of”speed of thought”.
