Paul...How much of the book would you say you are inking, as opposed to JB inking?

QUOTE:
It turns out that a lot of the pages I posted actually ended up being inked by JB. |

Paul...How much of the book would you say you are inking, as opposed to JB inking? ---------------------------------------- so far seems to be pretty evenly split, with the edge going to JB

Paul... I have to go back and look at your earlier inks over JB... but I am curious, how do you feel about your older inks compared to the work you are doing now? AND... the question everyone wants to know, what was it like to have JB ask you to ink his stuff in a published Marvel book? That must have been amazing!! So happy for you. You put in the work and good things happen to people that work hard!

Oh it was sheer excitement for sure! But soon after, very nervous. It's one thing to fantasize about the possibilities but a whole 'nother ball of wax when it happens. I felt a combination of being very grateful and an overwhelming feeling of not wanting to let anyone down. But, I have since been reassured that I was doing a pretty decent job so I soon began feeling much more at ease. Now I'm just enjoying and focusing on the work and looking forward to it being released!
As for my older inks - I honestly can't bring myself to look at them. Thanks to you guys with helpful feedback (and encouragement), lots of practice, and studying some of the great inkers, I believe I've come so much further along!

Paul, how many pages are you inking a day or week?
Are you inking on 11x17 pages? Do you print them out yourself, or does the publisher mail them to you?

I work on a page daily. Sometimes I finish a page in a day. Sometimes it takes longer depending on how detailed the page is. JB likes to put a good amount of detail on a page and I never try to rush through it (one page had a satellite breaking apart into 'a million pieces' and I think JB literally drew a million pieces!). Luckily this isn't a monthly comic, so there is some flexibility on time. But I do keep a schedule and try to stay ahead of it.I am printing out blue lines on 11x17 pages for the inks.
