A decade ago, I got a call from my father telling me my mother was collapsed on the floor -- dead. Not quite, but close. She'd had a sudden, massive aortic dissection, and required immediate surgery and months of recovery... and she made it just fine. Then, two months ago, she needed a couple of stents to clear up another section of her heart failing... and now she's in her late 80s but, again, just fine.

Good luck, Brian!

My father had three when he turned 65, he is 83 now and still trucking along.  Be a peace.

I’ve known a lot of heart procedure veterans with healthy recoveries. I
expect you to be another, Brian! I’m so sorry it’s scary.

Good luck Brian!

While it does mitigate the fear-factor (we mortals all suffer with) I suspect the risk analysis puts the odds well in your favor for a positive outcome.

We are all rooting for you!
