FaceBook

Some truly bizarre comments. Is it really possible that so many people cannot grasp the difference between “based on” and “exactly like”?

Considering some of the other comments that are starting to
rear their heads, I would say yes.

Scrolling down through many, many, many comments... what do people get from making their comments, especially when it seems like 75% of them all say the same thing -- "Luthor was smart," or some close variation. Why chime in, why add the same statement, over and over and over and over and over and over again. The internet is an extremely weird world.

Anyway, I'm stumped over what point the original poster was making here:

What makes the comments [by JB] stand out is that Byrne has often been viewed as holding conservative or right-leaning views throughout his career. While it's never wise to assume someone's politics from public perception alone, that reputation has led many fans to see his criticism of Trump as a sign that frustration with the president extends beyond the usual political divides.

What? What's saying or suggesting? Reputedly right-wing-ish John Byrne has become frustrated with Trump beyond the political divide between Republicans and Democrats, or something? Huh?

Michael, the average responder to any FB post does not take time to read the responses by others on most posts.  They simply leave thier thought and move on, unless the post is about them.

Thanks, Brian. I never had, and never will have, a FB account or really anything like it. As old as Facebook is, it's all new to me.

Do not understand how I got a right wing rep. True, I was a registered Republican for a few years, but that was when they could still lay some claim to being the Party of Lincoln. When I moved here 21 years ago (!) I registered as an independent.

Ah, well!
