I have special love for that one MARVEL PREMIERE (#56) with Dominic Fortune!  By four of comic-dom's greatest--Len Wein (plot), David Michelinie (script), Howard Chaykin (plot, layouts), and Terry Austin (finishing/inks).

Speaking of Chaykin, I also love the Nick Fury MARVEL SPOTLIGHT he did with Jim Starlin--and also his solo (back to PREMIERE) Monark Starstalker debut...a perfect little 17-pager!

I have read all three of these gems a bunch of times.

I re-read Byrne's FF run first. Years later I read Byrne's Thing issues and it felt like I finally completed my re-reading of the FF run.

After the FF I immediately re-read Walter Simonson's Thor which was just as enjoyable.

Then I think I tried to do that with the X-Men from 165-200 which to me wasn't something you couldn't read as one large story. Some of the same issues I had as a teen still came up.

The Next Men before it was completed was something I re-read a lot.

Also I had piecemeal of Lee and Kirby's FF from reprints and masterworks from the first inhumans story to FF 102.

Oh and the essentials of Ditko's Spider-Man.

Fantagraphics did a hardcover edition last year that includes a couple of those issues, as well as Chaykin's other Dominic Fortune work and other stuff.

I will start selling off my collection in a few years when I turn 65.  But there are many runs I plan to reread before I let them go:

- JB’s Superman and West Coast Avengers.  I haven’t read all issues of his other titles yet, so I can’t say yet if I will reread them.  I have the Alpha Flight and Generations omnibuses.
- Grant Morrison’s JLA and Doom Patrol.  I need to pick up some more Doom Patrols though
- Alan Moore’s Swamp Thing and Miracleman
- Wein and Wrightson’s Swamp Thing
- Frank Miller’s Daredevil, Ronin, Dark Knight Returns, and 300
- Tom King’s Visions, Strange Adventures, and Human Target

There’s probably more that escape me at the moment.
