Absolute edition, Hardcover edition, trade paperback, individual issues of course, and now the mini-travel edition!
Just need that omnibus......

Isn't that the way? I mean, you put out one little best-seller and suddenly everybody wants multiple copies of everything you ever did! What's a singularly accomplished guy gotta do to get some peace around here!?

When I was a kid, I loved DC's digests which provided a lot of stories for a good price. Now that I'm older and my eyesight isn't as good as it used to be, I prefer something larger. I'm glad the Compact version of Man of Steel is available for those looking for a more budget-friendly version, though.
IDW recently published a smaller format Star Trek volume with JB's Assignment: Earth, and other non-JB material.

I purchased one DC Compact Edition this year (Nightwing - it wasn't a series I read on a monthly basis). It's "budget friendly," but the pages are still a bit small and you may have to open the spine up a bit to see the left side of some of the pages.
It's also a book you have to have good lighting to read, since the pages are smaller that the standard monthly comic or standard sized trade paperback.

I've come to realize in recent years just how much of a difference lighting can make in the ease of readability of something!

Depending on how they were stored, some of those acid paper comics have browned so much it's hard to even read them.

As the years advance, I avoid anything with small print. My eyesight simply isn't what it was.
Which is one of many reasons I am delighted with the Absolute editions. They're BIG.

I've purchased three different versions of the story. One for myself and the two others as gifts for people.

My son and I see the Compact Editions as Crack Cocaine. We have multiple copies of some of the greats there. We give them to his friends for free and then they are hooked.
