I just had a brunch today in the Grand Salon of the Queen Mary, where the first class passengers ate. It was a fun experience to wander the ornate halls and dining room.
Do you have any recollections of riding the Queen Mary, John?

Before I was 8yo I crossed the Atlantic three times by liner, the Queen Elizabeth, Queen Mary and the less famous Ivernia. I have vivid memories of these crossings but unfortunately, after all these decades, I can no longer determine which memories belong to which ship!

It's a sad and frustrating moment -- and often one fraught with self-recriminations for opportunities lost -- when you realize that no one is left alive who knows parts of your own life's story.

JB, have you as the Grumpy Old Guy been able to serve as a source of family lore for any younger relatives?
