I, for one, welcome the milder temps! Yesterday was the first day it’s been
below 85 here in weeks. Maybe even months. And today is only supposed
to be in the low-to-mid 70s. Bring it on!

Oh, I fell a couple of weeks ago. Scary as heck. Scraped some skin off my left knee. Took what seemed like forever to get back on my feet. And the inspiration for the cane.

I like the cooler weather, colors, and other things about autumn, but not the increased darkness. I like to go to the park and play disc golf, and I have a harder time fitting it in.

Trees started loosing leaves during the summer over here -
the drought really did a number on them.
Thankfully, the rains seemed to have perked them back up -
the grass certainly seems to have made up for all the
growth it missed since the rains came back.

Summertime boy here. My happy place starts at 75 degrees. Happier at 85. Fall’s arrival means I start shivering a lot and dreading Winter. The leaves are pretty though. And John, glad you’re okay.

One of my favourite memories is of flying over Newfoundland
in late September and seeing the beautiful site of all the
shades of red, brown, orange yellow and green in the
forests below. Truly stunning.
Yes, James my lawn is actually lush now with only a few
bare patches and my borders are full of new growth after a
month of rain. Gardens much prefer rainwater to tap water!
