At some point, Trump talked about the silent majority being stronger than ever.
So even he knows he's in trouble!
Actually, more showing his delusion. Because what he thinks is the silent majority is actually the won't shut up minority. Its the conservatives, and especially his supporters, who are always running their mouths. Some of those halfwits can't even talk about something completely nonpolitical without dropping comments about liberals into it.

I'm encouraged by the lack of support he is getting, but I wonder if the damage done to the country can be reversed. The citizens are going to be strained to the breaking point in another 6 months. What will people do if things don't go the way they think they should? They showed up at a state capital with guns when they couldn't get a hair cut. At what point do they pull triggers? Earlier this month the FBI arrested a private in the US Army for conspiring with a Neo-Nazi group to ambush his own unit. Are there more like minded soldiers? People refuse to be responsible with face masks in public as if their rights are being trampled, but they understand being responsible about drunk driving. The US is headed toward an election time disaster with a person in charge that does not handle crisis very well at all.

Eric L., your points are eminently legitimate. Lacking presidential leadership, it's time for state governors and perhaps federal leadership outside the administrative branch to step up.
We have to ask them for leadership and guidance. We've seen it from some governors during the corona panedmic in NY, Cal, and here in Ohio. Can we hope for the same? Can we survive without it?
Someone's gotta speak up. I would hope that Biden has the strength of character and power of personality to keep order until he can be elected. And I have faith that the majority of Americans - the ones that we never hear about on the news because they're reasonable, orderly, and rational - will stay organized and orderly.
I can only hope.
On the lighter side... after Saturday's rally, Trump's issue is more the invisible citizens than the silent ones. :P

Ok, Trump supporters, let’s hear how you explain his behaviour on this one. He has known since March and done nothing.

Yep, definite blood on their hands there. Beyond disgusting. >:^C
Is he still going to want his comrade Vladimir at Mar-A-Lago for the G7-8 soiree?

Something like that...

"White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany denied Saturday that President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence had been briefed on the intelligence community’s conclusion that Russian agents paid bounties to the Taliban to kill American and coalition forces in Afghanistan."
Sure. That seems likely.

I wondered about this as well, Brian. So far the Russians and Taliban have denied a bounty on US soldiers, but the White House has not denied the existence of the intel report. So is the WH believing the Taliban and Russians over US intelligence?
