I've been enjoying the sketches, painting, inking, etc. in this thread. Thanks to Teod Tomlinson for starting it, and all those who contribute. I am doubly inspired to get back to drawing after looking at JB's scans and commissions and now the JBF community's collective portfolio!

Gilbert, thank you. I can see that you did pay attention to it.
And yes, it did take me a while to pencil all of the policemen, I'm sure it could look better inked but I don't know if I'll have the time or the ability to ink it properly.
By the way, I was trying to find out what did you use for coloring your WW drawing... care to share?

This is a poster I made for my nephew. I used a spidey magnet as a model for ol' webhead, and drew the goblin myself. It's 18" x 24"

Sometimes I feel overwhelmed . There are some really talented guys here and to be honest sometimes I feel ashamed posting some of my sketches. But this is a good thing, it means this is a great thread with outstanding art.

Sure Arc. I use a combination of mechanical pencils for the layout, Black Pitt pens with the brush tip for the inks, and Copic markers for the coloring. I cannot recommend Copics enough. The colors that they offer and the use of being able to refill the markers and nibs makes it the best choice hands down to me. If you can't find those around you, or if you're on a budget, you can also use Bic Mark it 36 count color markers. They're around 20 bucks or so, but so worth it if you need a lot of colors on a budget. I made a 14' x 22" poster of a JB inspired Dark Phoenix with Bic Markers, and here's the result:

Arc - I like the two against the mob (police scene) you posted. The illustration style evokes a graphic novel I recently read and enjoyed: Exit Wounds by Rutu Modan. Is that sketch a stand alone scene or is it part of a story?
