awesome hellboy JPB!!! that may be my favorite from you so far! the thing looks like he is hypnotized - very cool expression.

Another lovely one Bill - do you have a website where you post all these together? it's such a profound act of love i think many many people would love to see these drawings and would be very moved by them.

here's my late night doodles from last night: it doesnt happen very often that my drawings look like exactly what i see in my head, but with the face on the bottom of the page it happened! that is exactly what i was 'seeing' in my minds eye! i either got really lucky or I'm getting better. hopefully the latter!

John, that Hellboy of yours is very good. And the coloring really suits the art.

You're welcome, my British friend.

Dave Braun: I think you are pretty good as an artist. I see you've put a lot of details in that final face. I would say she is slightly leaning forward, which is a tough angle to make. It came out really good.

Thanks a lot Arc, I appreciate the compliments and the comments. I know I
can be pretty self deprecating but I actually feel pretty good about myself as
an artist in general. I think I am getting better all the time, but have a long
way to go. But when it comes to comic style art and drawing things straight
out of my head - trying to visually represent a fairly accurate version of what
is in my minds eye - that is another story. I would like to be able to
illustrate a story that I have written, but I feel pretty inadequate at the
moment.
I am trying to make a transition to comics from painting like this -

Dave:

I've been posting my drawings on my blog each morning:

wiist.blogspot.com

and on Facebook for my friends & family to see.

Thanks again for the compliments. These are as inspirational/motivational
for me as they are for him, but I do like the idea of him being able to look
forward to having something cool in the mail each day.

Evelyn is a great little movie starring Pierce Brosnan and based on a real life
story of an Irish man trying to keep custody of his children. Tonight, I felt
like drawing the pub scene where Brosnan's character and his dad are
performing. So here we are. The scene and one of the songs. There's
another song I may do from it tomorrow night. We'll see.

Here's the initial sketch for a Superman poster page.
Done in my usual 4"X51/2" quarter page that I blow up to 11X17.

Really great Hellboy John!!!
