Thanks for the kind words.  By the way, can any of the talented colorists here point me towards a good resource for learning how to color with photoshop?  Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks Dave, Yeah it's really hard I sketch so lightly when plotting the page it's near impossible to scan it. When I scanned it The page was essentially blank. I had to adjust the levels to the most extreme just for that to show up. As I work on it I'll re-scan

Hmm, I had a CD-Rom Tutorial awhile back and I've kinda winged everything else. Lemme give ya a quick thingie:

1 - Desaturate your drawing and adjust the contrast.2 - Color-Select all the white and delete it leaving only the blacks as your Line Layer3 - Create a layer under the Line Layer and using the select tool, carefully select between all the lines and lay Flat Colors.4- Duplicate the Flat Colors Layer, and use it to start shading! (leaving the flat layer as a way to conveniently still select areas later on)

Really nice piece Ben, There's something about it that I can quite put my finger on but the closes I can come to describing it is saying the art reminds me of a animated version of Sal Buscema

Tonight's sketch/song celebrates the birth of my brother and sister-in-law's new baby girl.

Very similar to the way I color JT. I use a channel for my line art, but the concept is basically the same.
