Nope. Aside from establishing male companions from time to time, I didn’t plan to portray Northstar differently from anybody else.

A remarkably progressive approach, even with forty years hindsight.

I recall you having a gay couple in TRIO/TRIPLE HELIX and it was handled just as matter-of-factly.

I started reading Alpha Flight when I was a pre-teen, 11 or 12. Left when JB left. I remember reading much later that Northstar was gay, how JB had sort of hinted at it, etc. I was surprised. Went back and read it at 20, and it was all there. It really taught me a lesson on writing for multiple audience levels at once without insulting any of them. Really well done.
I salute you, sir.

I've been seeing some articles about the MOON KNIGHT show returning phrased like "Moon Knight creator Jeremy Whoever has shared an update..."
Very aggravating. Doug Moench is Moon Knight's creator, while I would give co-creator credit to both Don Perlin (for the original design) and Bill Sienkiewicz (for the "perfected" version).
There should be a law. They would never say about a SHERLOCK HOLMES show "created by Joe Shmoe" or whoever.

Well, the MOON KNIGHT from the show is utterly unrecognisable from the character Moench and Perlin created, so ... But seriously, they're referring to the show creator here.

Yes, but you'd think they'd at least say "show creator"!

Giving creator credit can often be a thorny subject. Marvel in recent years has defined “creator” as first to write, first to draw particular characters. Thus Chris Claremont shares credit for Alpha Flight, including characters I created in my fan days!

The whole show created by thing annoys me to no end. I was really annoyed by Daredevil where the guy who left after one episode (Drew Goddard I think) fought for creator credit. That would not be you, all you did was decide which bits to include (or not).

Wolverine always gets me. The movies practically abandoned his costume (until recently at least) and it's all about his trademark face--which Dave Cockrum designed! I don't want to take away anything from John Romita and Herb Trimpe, but Cockrum should definitely be added to the mix.
And Bill Everett did ONE issue of DAREDEVIL with a costume that a lot of people ridicule, and then Wally Wood came in a few issues later and gave DD his red costume redesign that remains virtually unchanged 60+ years later! (Though people insist on giving him black armor sometimes, but then the beautiful red outfit always returns.) "But Everett also designed the supporting cast." And Foggy Nelson looks totally different now and for most of the last 55+ years, and Karen Page was a generic blonde. Frank Miller added so much to DD's back story, it's almost like Daredevil wasn't finished being created until Miller was done with him. Woody and Miller definitely deserve some creator credit, in a perfect world. The TV guys (like James says) just decide what to leave in and what to leave out--and usually their changes just mess things up.
