A question of likeness here. This is a character as he appears in my head, in terms of attitude and feel. It's an old drawing and not particularly good but it feels like the character.

This is one of the same character that looks absolutely nothing like how he appears in my head. Part of the problem was that I was trying a pitt brush pen for the first time and while I love the flow I still have control issues. But basically it would still look nothing like the character.

So this is the 'final' version of the character. Doesn't quite feel like the character but comes pretty damn close and is a pretty solid drawing. I like it but I don't love it.

This is his twin brother. All I did for this one was reverse the above picture and change the details and yet somehow they don't look like twins to me. Don't quite know how I screwed that up since it's essentially the same damn drawing.

edited to actually add the picture.

I tried my hand at a likeness of a famous fictional character and would like to see if people can see who I was going for so I'm not going to identify the character.

Here's a painting I whipped up for the company I do Aurora Fantasy boxes
for. It's of a 60s television character called, Honey West (played by Anne
Francis). Fun stuff. (Oh, btw, it's acrylic on canvas).

Due to some other projects which came up this one took a bit longer than
anticipated. It also began as a gouache on watercolor paper and then turned
into an acrylic. Overall I'm happy with this illustration. Prior to doing it, this
place only existed in my mind. Nice to get it out of there and onto paper.
Now if I could only find the time to get the other hundred thousand images I
have in my mind out and onto paper or canvas!
