Arc,
I use PhotoShop but there are good freeware alternatives.
Gimp has a pretty good user interface.
It all really depends on the style you are looking for
and your facility with the tools.
I think John's stuff is quite good, very fluid. His style
lends itself to the color wash look he achieves.
If I were to guess I would say JT uses PhotoShop too, but
again, you can get a similar look from gimp after you
have worked with it a while.
As for your question, I guess I like my inks better than
my pencils or colors. But like John, I like to think of
myself the whole package.
One day I will make the time to do stuff like this all
the time instead of just in the free time.
John,
Thank you for the banter, it is fun.
What do you think of doing some other classic Avengers
like Scarlet Witch and Wonder Man?
:)

Ditto!
and yeah I use photoshop. I've got a whole little process and over the years
some little guidelines that keep my style consistent.

Keri Jo Billick: Thanks. As soon as I figure out how to make my new scanner work I'll post a couple of my ugly sketches.
