I've said it before, I'll say it again: I'd buy a monthly THOR book pencilled by
JP Britton.

Seeing JB's latest commission with the Thing playing poker with other characters reminded me of a picture a friend asked me to make a long time ago, back in 1987. I decided to post it here, instead of in the commission thread, since I thought it wouldn't be appropriate to post it in a thread that is supposed to be about JB's newest commission piece.

The commission thread in question:

Be kind, as this was over twenty years ago, and I have improved quite a bit since then (one would hope, anyway). I know there are some problems with the pic, like some perspective issues and word balloon placement, etc., but I wanted to post it to show what I was talking about in the other thread.

Also, for historical clarity, this art was created during the period when Steve Rogers was removed from the role of Captain America and replaced by John Walker, hence the line about him being out of work.

All of you do great work!  I'd post some of my stuff but lately I just haven't had the urge/desire to put anything to paper.

Cute piece, Matt! When you mentioned this on the other thread I was thinking "Should I ask him to post it over here?"

Haha, I like the poker pic Matt, specially Wolverine being a poor sport.
