I turned 60 fifteen years ago. But this thread makes me aware that I have lived half my life again since 50!

Happy birthday John!
I'm 62 physically but mentally still a teenager!

James Woodcock, unfortunately no free bus pass in England
(damn you Wales and Scotland!) until 67, but we do get free
prescriptions, and i get better cinema discounts via work
than through senior citizen discounts!

=======================================================

67!!! I can't wait for the next 20 years to fly by until I reap those benefits here in good old England.

That said, I remember my grandfather telling mem when I was 12 or 13 that when you get to 18, the years just seem to go by quicker and quicker. And over time when I look back or remember something now, I think "Bloody Hell!!! That was over 20 years ago!"

Every decade passes twice as fast as the previous one.

(It’s actually faster than that. When you’re 10, 10 years is you whole life. At 20, it’s half your life. At 30, a third. And so on.)

Greg, I am happy not to have needed a free prescription so
far, and i rarely use the bus! I will have to on Monday as
i drop my car off for it's service and MOT and i'm not
looking forward to it!(My wife usually drives me home and
takes me to pick it up, but she's inacapacitated)

I hadn’t realised they had raised the free bus pass age.

Ok, so about sixty years and two hours ago, I popped out of my mother and aksed for lunch, or so I am told.

I just don't feel it.  I guess I am in good shape.  The knees are great.

Gonna celebrate by looking for a nice copy of Iron Fist 14.  And please, don't offer to sell me yours.  It is the hunt that makes is all worthwhile.

If you’re looking for an affordable decent copy, good luck. It took me 30
years or so to finally nab one.
