I like it!

I was obnoxiously pleased with myself on that phrase...

"And if we’re really dreaming, OMAC"

Fortunately, for me, I bought that series when it arrived at the LCS.

I'm glad I got back into collecting and buying back issues and the like (yes, including OMAC) back in 1992-93.  It seemed as though a lot of books (not all) had dropped in price (percentagewise) and I was able to grab stuff for a song.  This was all pre-omnibus, however, and pre-every iteration of "The Dark Phoenix Saga" under the sun.

Apps like eBay allow everybody to see what others are paying whereas for years, the only really easy way to see prices at any given time were the yellow Mile High ads (always at a premiums) and maybe the price guide.

How many of us wanted to sell books based on the price guides only to be told, "It's like it says, it's just a GUIDE."

@JB: how much input did you have on the printing for OMAC? I remember the production quality being pretty luxe.

An Artists Edition of OMAC would be something.

It’d be more linguistically satisfying if the term was “omnibi.”

Living in Toronto, we have a used book store chain called BMV. Each location has comic books, especially graphic novels and omnibuses, and one location has a massive floor of them. Their stock changes all the time, but they may have some OOP Byrne’s - I’ll keep an eye out when we visit one over March Break and report back. I would be willing to pick up things and mail them for folks here, if folks here would trust a stranger like me to do so.

I really want the NAMORs collected!

And I wouldn't mind finally being able to read all of JB's adaptation of "I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream"!

One of my biggest regrets (I have a few) in doing a mass
dump of my entire collection back in the day, when I quit
buying cold turkey, is no longer having that four issue
OMAC series. It really was gorgeous.
