SO happy!!! Very much enjoying the flow of positive news on the "blue wave" currently washing over the US, from my vantage point Down Under.
Well done voters.
To quote a famous film trilogy, "Hope is rekindled!"

The wins here are so big that the orange one appears to realise that he
can’t do the ‘it’s all rigged’ bit.
He’s still blaming bad candidates (that he picked) and that they would have
won had he been on the ticket (despite calling for voters to vote as if he
was on the ticket - which they probably did - enough people are just done
with his batshit crap).

Hopefully this will have a knock on effect in other countries as well and we
can see an end to the right wing, lying parties that have emerged. The
prospect of the UK suffering under a Farage prime minister is looking less
and less each day.

My worry is how he'll react, throwing his toys out of his
pram now things aren't going his way.

*Whew* The old “are you better off than you were X years ago” along with
Trump corruption, lies and tone deafness come back to bite the right in
their a$$es.

Words truly cannot describe what happened.

What is greater than a Blue Wave?

A MOTHERFUCKING BLUE TSUNAMI!!!!

What an awesome way to wake up this morning reading about historic firsts, embarrassing Republican defeats, and a total repudiation of nearly everything that racist, sexist, homophobic pedophile sitting in the Oval Office punching a button for endless sodas while gorging himself on Big Macs and grievance stands for.  I honestly haven’t felt this elated about an election since Obama in 2008.

From a local perspective, Minnesota crushed it.  I live in Ilhan Omar’s district, proudly vote for her, and it wasn’t even close.  Peggy Flanagan became the first Native American woman elected to the Senate, beating former NFL sideline reporter Michele Tafoya by over 10 points.  SO fucking happy I no longer have to see Tafoya’s smug face as she claimed to be an “independent Republican”.  Amy Klobuchar handily won the governor’s seat by nearly 13 points.  The only blemish is Tom Emmer being re-elected. The race baiting Trump rubber stamp, however, loses quite a bit of power after his party was rightfully decimated.

And Matt, it's "Godzilla" day in IMAX, with regular shows starting Friday.  What could be a better capper to your week?

Trump has accomplished something the Democratic party has miserably failed at: turning Ohio purple.
