A recent conversation about the incredible talent of David Mazzucchelli reminded me of the very first sketch I ever received at a convention, back in Boston in 1991. I met David, who was incredibly fun to talk with, picked up a copy of Rubber Blanket #1 and he drew this fun piece up while we talked. I had this stored with my graphic novels and so it was not incorporated into my art collection until now.

My best friend, who has since passed away, also picked up a sketch from David. It featured Daredevil wandering aimlessly with a walking stick and "The man without sight" scrawled under it. I was envious.... when Sean died, it broke my heart.... it was only years later that I remembered that he had that piece, which had vanished.

The Colan DD cover is a thing of beauty. I was recently googling some of his work and admiring that cover -- and here you are luck enough to have the original. Well done!

That Daredevil cover...insanely awesome.

I saw the Frenz pages were up for sale, but I've had to commit to buying only from books I've actually read, so I passed.  They are still really good, though, and tempting.

Just arrived from Fred, always a treat.  I asked him to add blacks to the twins' hair after winning the auction.  I didn't get the other two I was bidding on, and the Puck/Sasquatch card went for almost $70.  We both thought that was crazy, but good for him!

Whoa! Looks like Fred sent Talisman to a Hollywood plastic surgeon!!

And once again we see why George Perez is a National Treasure!

Really nice Perez sketch.  It is interesting to see him use short lines to create the image.

Love the Daredevil cover also.
