@Nathan,
If Byrne was having problems with the dancing poses, you could still get the commission without the dancing, right? Come on! I want to see a MJ/Gwen commission! Suggest a new situation for them to be in.

JB, When you did the X-Pod with Jean, she was dancing and I get a 60s go-go vibe, like Amazing Spider-Man #59 with MJ by Romita Sr.

Trust me, I'd still love to get an MJ/Gwen commission! I just prefer a certain tone to the drawing (that preference has to do with the area I had planned to hang the art in my house).
I suggested taking out the dancing poses and just going with a cute/sexy/fun 1960's MJ & Gwen commission... but I was told I had to add Spider-Man and/or some kind of action to the commission. Unfortunately that wasn't the tone I wanted. Bummer. I wrote back and declined :(

Jim may have suggested this, since he knows I prefer some kind of "action" to "quite" poses.

I'm sure you will come up with something that works for both you and JB soon enough, Nathan!

@ Nathan and John ,
Yay,...sounds like there is still hope to see this Byrne Gwen Stacy / MJ, goodness !
Nathan,..have you given thought to an alternative you would like?What's the vibe you are going for? Maybe you and JB can brainstorm something together based on what you want to achieve with the piece.

Let's not flog this one to death, okay guys?Nathan has asked for several "quiet" pieces, that have been politely declined. Meanwhile, he's gotten this… LINK 1 …and this… LINK 2 …and this… LINK 3 …so I don't think he's suffering!

Well, I finally did it. I made my first original art purchase. Of course, I knew my first piece had to be a piece from JB. I received it today. Thanks to Jim Warden for the quick and excellent transaction! Love it!
