Eddy Barrows is a great guy that I am proud to call "friend". He and his daughter visited me in northeastern PA, for 5 days before this year's NYCC. He brought along a few gifts for me. This is the first of the 2 pages that he was working on when I visited the Barrows family in Brazil back in February....

This is the second. Fun fact is that since these are flashback pages of Dick Greyson's ancester, Eddy added three familiar faces from the days of early filmmaking. DC, ever lawsuit-cautious, tweaked the final images digitally to change the facial features....

This year's NYCC had me picking up more original art than I have in the past 3 conventions combined. That said, what made it most memorable for me was spending time with Eddy and his daughter Evellen. After meeting them at JFK Airport (and before getting a ticket after getting blocked into an EZ-Pass Only Lane) Eddy surprised me with this. I'm not usually into vanity pieces, but this gift had me grinning from ear-to-ear.

Just getting started. I'll refrain from layout pages, though impressive, it seems that it would become excessive as far as pieces posted. More art to come over the next week or two, time permitting....

Congrats Fred on the beautiful Barrow pages. I enjoyed the show, which will probably eclipse SDCC in attendence next year. Saturday is always crowded, but this year sunday was as well. I did 3 headshots with George Perez, one of which was the Vigilante, for the 10 minutes with George fundraiser on thursday. I posted that piece on the thread Caleb started.
