McKone is always great.

The smoke effect on the Herbert piece is superb!

Joe Prado was onhand at the NYCC 2012 and I was very fortunate to pick up a piece I found myself facinated with. This is a character study of a character I was unfamiliar with prior to seeing this piece, but Joe provided several designs for the new 52 line-up for DC.

Fantastic art, Fred.  I love the Weeks piece and all the poker game pieces are a lot of fun.

Jack Herbert impressed me the moment that I saw his work. He is a wizard with Copic markers... I've yet to see anyone better. His Copic work at NYCC 2011 drew me in and his skill as an artist kept me..... a nice guy to boot!

Kirby Genesis, from Dynamite!, was Alex Ross' tribute to Jack Kirby. While Alex was charged with art direction and provided some of the art in the series, Jack Herbert was charged with art chores on the series. This double-splash from issue #2 (pages 8-9) wowwed me, when I saw it in print.... the black and white, original artwork blows the published artwork away!

The Marvel Adventures Avengers series, published by Marvel Comics in 2006. Though a comic aimed at younger audiences, it was my favorite comic from the company at the time. Jeff Parker and Manuel Garcia produced an incredibly entertaining series that should be required reading for any fan of the characters! I was immediately drawn to the artwork in the series and attempted to track down artwork online. Garcia had absolutely no online presence and, after multiple attempts to try and find him or his art, I gave up and figured it a lost cause. Fast forward to NYCC 2012 and the DC Party.... I'm talking with a group of guys from Spain and was introduced to each by first name. After a minute of talking with Manuel, I had an odd feeling and asked his last name....... by weekend's end I had my favorite page from the first issue and another fun page as well. Totally unexpected treasure from this year's convention experience.

Lots of fellow brazilians making a strong impression on this thread!

I do own a couple of original pieces by Rafael Grampa, from around 1998, when we were a bunch of kids aiming to become comic book professionals. He already had it on him, and eventually managed to grab an Eisner Award.

2 more Byrne pages in my collection thanks to Mr Warden. This great Wonder Woman nightmare sequence. The consecutive page is on DOA and I intend to buy it one day so please leave it alone everyone. Strangely enough, this page is not signed by the artist.
I think it 's my only one without added signature.
