Okay, so at this year's edition of the Göteborg Book Fair, I finally entered the crowd of original and published comic art owners.

The folder in which lies page 56 of THEOS OCKULTA KURIOSITETER 2: DE FÖRLORADE SIDORNAS BOK (Theo's Occult Curios 2: The Book of Lost Pages).

Inked transparent sheet over pencils, both by Ola Skogäng.

Pencils by Ola Skogäng.

Inked transparent sheet overlapping pencils, both by Ola Skogäng.

The writer-artist Ola Skogäng had four pages with him, two of which really stood out for me. The other one had the main character Theo (a man who has been turned into a bear a long time ago and who now investigates occult mysteries), which made it very appealing, but I couldn't resist getting this page because of its fun and varied content.

I also had the pleasure of getting the first two volumes of the new collected HC edition of Peter Madsen's wonderful album series VALHALLA about the Norse gods signed with drawings in them (I believe I have posted the drawing I already had in four of the albums earlier in this thread).

Anyway, a mean Fenris wolf (Fenrisulven) by Peter Madsen, drawn on the inside cover of my copy of VALHALL – DEN SAMLADE SAGAN 1 (Valhall – The Collected Story 1).

And a smug Loki (Loke) by Peter Madsen, drawn on the inside cover of my copy of VALHALL – DEN SAMLADE SAGAN 2 (Valhall – The Collected Story 2).

i don't know if a bullet is considered a sketch :) but i didn't realize it until i was on my way home. daniel was really nice to me, especially considering his son's name is charlie too. he said he doesn't know a bad charlie. i agree with that because i am good too!... but then later i realized there is charlie mason..

bullet - daniel clowes

i have a separate marvel, dc, and (for the lack of a better word) indie character sketchbooks and at the beginning of a.p.e. i had only black cat for my marvel book. i have spent about an hour of making a list of characters i would like to see in the book. so what do i do? i gave the artist their choice of character without seeing my list. i just assumed (rolls eyes) that he would pick a classic character since it was so open to pick anyone. anyway erwin went with x-23 (wolverine's daughter? and a modern character) which i have no idea about other than seeing images of her through previews. anyway i learned my lesson and i am actually happy how it came out anyway. i like his style :)

x-23 - erwin haya
