MIchael, that's a nice find.  Really liked that story.

Great Bart Sears sketch Jimmie. He's been posting a lot of cool sketches on his Facebook page.
I plan on ordering his sketchbooks in a day or so.

11x17 Dracula sketch by the great Gene Colan!

I was never much into Colan growing up, he just wasn't on my radar.  I've come to appreciate his work and love TOMB OF DRACULA.  This sketch was the perfect sort of thing I was looking for!  Very much inspired to purchase this by the amazing Colan commission I saw hanging in Paul Greer's house...

I was in the saame boat as you regarding my lack of appreciation for Colan when I was a kid. Fell in love with his work when I inheritted my buddy's DD collection and smack myself for missing the genuis inn his storytelling skills and awesome ability to depict movement. Congrats on the Dracula piece Joe!

Business has been booming for several months and I have cash (and the itch!) to get a commission or something.  Let's see...just this week...computer crashes, check engine light comes on, a crown falls out of my wife's tooth, medical bills for me, had to replace the washing machine last week, doing taxes this weekend which are anyone's guess since my wife didn't tell me she changed her withholdings to get more in her check...anything else?  Maybe a nice ice cream cone instead.

LOL!!

I know how you feel. I've been planning my next commission for literally years now, one thing keeps coming up after another. I've now got some major ructions on my plate. But I should be in shape to look at ordering a new commission -- finally -- come the summer.

Trying again -- different source, different art.

Found no less than FOUR pages of originals from a favorite EAGLE adventure strip from my childhood. Sadly, quite cheap. The artist unappreciated, I guess. I'll post 'em when they arrive.

Oh, yes. . . the strip was called DANGER: UNLIMITED.

A-Hem!

Well done on that score Mr Byrne. Eagle art is always nice. If it's the Martin Aitchison stuff I saw recently, good catch!

Reason 7463 for why I love the JBF.....While Paul Greer & Jason Hickok were attending a comic con down in New Orleans they picked up this sketch of Galactus for me (Because they thought it would be a good addition to my collection). Artist:Barry Kitson. Thanks guys, You're the best!
