Wow, Kirby pencil pages!!!

••

Let's hope they stay that way!

A degree of reticence about letting go of these pages turns on wondering how long it will take someone to buy one and immediately get an inker to "finish" it. So many "fans" it seems have no appreciation of the art in its "natural" form. They want it as close to the published page as they can get.

(This is how some colorists have made money at cons, actually coloring the original pages!! ARGH!!!!!!)

JB, I share your concern.  Hopefully it appears most of these aren't going far from "home", so to speak!

I've already got my 4 year old son ready with his markers. He can't wait to color Darkseid yellow!!!
I'll post it in the "sketchbook" thread when he's done. It'll be AWESOME!!!!

or.. a quick call to Mike Royer, and the book might actually look good for once.

... I really really want to see these pencil pages. So very very cool.

I would never ink nor have them inked. Tom Palmer offered. I told him now. HAHA! Here is a bad pic of page 15. Love me some Darkseid!

Okay -- it's a sickness. I admit it. I got a monkey on my back!

Probably getting these. . .

The first links up a three pages sequence with two of the pages I already have.

The second is one of several in the story that are partly Frank Bellamy, partly Don Harley and Bruce Cornwell. In this case, the first, second, fifth, eighth, ninth and tenth panels appear to be all Bellamy.

Um... this isn't a thread for "probably".
So, if you've posted it here, you've committed to buying it.

There, wasn't that easy?

Were they done in a studio setting?

Wow. Kirby pencils. Lucky guys. I know they have a good home.

As for JB's probable next purchase, those look great. You got the itch, you gotta scratch. I understand, unlike women or liquor, these'll be there in the morning for you.

*Post 6666, it must be some kind of significance.
