Here's what I came away with from the Kirby Pencil Page Phone Summit (thanks Paul! Fajitas are on me!)

No way I could pass up the opportunity for an all pencil Kirby page. Thanks of course to Jim and JB. This will have a very special place in my collection of course.

Cool Joe! I love the cray-eyed Darkseid popping up in the bottom panel! Can we add him to more comics?

That is a great page, Joe. I think you owe me a fried ice cream to go with those fajitas!

Since Joe posted his Super Powers, I'll post mine. I'm a pretty big Green Lantern fan, so I couldn't pass up Jack Kirby drawing my favorite character fighting Steppenwolf. However, I would be lying if I didn't say the highlight of this page is Green Arrow vs. the Parademons.

Paul you got a great page! Kirby Green Lantern? Where can you get that!?!?!?! Really nice action sequence too. Also, as I just mentioned in another thread, Steppenwolf's redesign might be the only one I prefer to the original (although a quick google search just reminded me that the original was pretty cool too!).

Kirby new the importance of face time for the actors way before the SPIDER-MAN movies.

I went this past weekend to the possible last New York Comic Book Marketplace show(aka the old Big Apple con) and had fun for the one day show. I got 2 Allen Bellman Captain America sketch covers, a Buzz Black Canary, a quick Carmine Infantino Superman head shot, an Irwin Hasen hand colored JSA group shot and a Perez Sprang-style Robin head shot.

May I tender a proposal for Joe's new avatar?

I ain't sayin' that a Kirby Darkseid trumps a Byrne King Kong, but you can rotate them, right?
