Something I learned very early on, even before I got into The Biz, was that costumes based on current real world fads and fashions are NOT a good idea. A hoodie? Seriously?

 | Has there ever been a truly successful character who wore a variant on street clothes as his/her costume?* ––––––– * The Spirit comes to mind, but he was a newspaper strip character, and the audience, and therefore the rules, tend to be different.

It's the first transitional step towards morphing the character into "Captain Cool," an anti-hero who currently (and often) treads on the wrong side of the law, but he's torn about it in an angsty way that makes him far more cool than "cold."

The glasses don't restrict peripheral vision enough. A hoodie should fix that. I see a comic filled with panels where this guy is taking it on the chin from a bad guy standing off to the side of him.

I'm a big fan of Captain Cold, but can't stand this new look.

I don't follow the new DC 52. I have seen some strange interpretations of

the cake. Did someone at DC decide to take parts of other characters and
put them together to create the new Swamp Thing. Len and Bernie create a
classic character, but this looks like some bad 50's movie reject.

Swamp Thing new 52 action figure.

Really... you have to be kidding me? Why not just create a whole new character instead. sigh

 | •• Why, because then you might accidentally create the new Spider-Man, and the company would STEAL it!! Cuz, as we can see from the Nu52, the talent needed to create another Spider-Man is just TEEMING up at DC, isn't it?

That Bizzaro isn't bad, but he's not very nu52ish, which is probably why it's not bad.
